Can you restore Jean, Peter Jr., Peter, & Isabel Burt's SP ordinance date of 14 August 1901 to them?
Can you please restore Jean Burt (LDYS-VVK), Peter Burt Jr. (L6C2-7KJ), Peter Burt (LYS9-M3N), and Isabel Burt’s (LDYS-VP3) original Sealing to Parents ordinance date of 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple to them? They are all the children of Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell (LDTT-6Q3). Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell (LDTT-6Q3) are my 5th great grandparents. Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt’s six other children Catharine Burt (LZZ1-Z3J), Andrew Burt (LJ1Q-2Q8), Margaret Burt (LH8C-GH2), Janet Burt (LZNB-6G9), William Burt (KNFX-DGF), and John Burt (KNXG-2D3) all have their original Sealing to Parents ordinance date of 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple. But Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell Burt’s (LDTT-6Q3) other four children Jean (Jane) Burt (LDY2-VVK), Peter Burt Jr.(L6C2-7KJ), Peter Burt (LYS9-M3N), and Isabel Burt (LDYS-VP3) have all lost their original Sealing to Parents ordinance date of 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple, so they need that date restored to them in their Ordinances section on Family Search.
My great grandfather Alexander Burt (KWJC-LVV) and his wife Agnes Watson Burt (KWJC-LVJ) and Alexander’s cousin Isabell Burt Rich (KWNP-G3W) did all of the original temple work for their 2nd great grandparents, Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell (LDTT-6Q3) and most of Peter and Margaret’s 10 children in the Logan Temple in 1885-1889. For the Sealing to Parents ordinance that was on 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple, Peter A. Burt (KWJ8-ZL1), my great-granduncle, was proxy for his 2nd great grandfather Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3). In this 14 August 1901 Sealing to Parents ordinance, George Burt (KWJD-GS9), my great-granduncle, was proxy for both Andrew Burt (LJ1Q-2Q8), his great grandfather and for William Burt (KNFX-DGF) his great-granduncle. Below is a close-up picture of the left side of page 52 of this Sealing to Parents record of when Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell Burt (LDTT-6Q3) had their 10 children Sealed to them on 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple. This record is found on FHL film #184,656 on page 52.
In this picture you can see all ten names and birthdates of Peter Burt and Margaret Russell’s children that were sealed to them on 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple. You can see that George Burt (KWJD-GS9), my great-granduncle, was proxy for both Andrew Burt (LJ1Q-2Q8) his great grandfather and for William Burt (KNFX-DGF), his great-granduncle. You can also see that Jean (Jane) Burt (LDYS-VVK) born 4 February 1767 in (Pitferine) Fife, Scotland, and Peter Burt Jr. (L6C2-7KJ) born 11 July 1771 in (Berrylaw) Fife, Scotland, and Peter Burt (LYS9-M3N) born 5 September 1773 in (Berrylaw) Fife, Scotland, and Isabel Burt (LDYS-VP3) born 20 January 1778 in (Berrylaw) Fife, Scotland are all listed along with their other six sibings - Catherine Burt, Andrew Burt, Margaret Burt, Janet Burt, William Burt and John Burt in this 14 August 1901 Sealing to Parents ordinance that took place in the Salt Lake Temple. (Kaistock, Pitferine and Berrylaw were names of mines that the father, Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) worked at in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland.) All of these birthdates match exactly the birthdates of all 10 of these Burt children listed on Family Search. All 10 of these Burt children were Christened in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland in the 1700’s.
Above is a close-up of the right side of page 52 of the 14 August 1901 Sealing of Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt’s 10 children being Sealed to them. In this picture you can see that my great-granduncle, Peter A. Burt (KWJ8-ZL1) was proxy for his 2nd great grandfather Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3). You can see that Eliza D. Fletcher was proxy for Margaret Russell Burt. You can also see the names of the people who were the proxies for Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt’s 10 children.
Above is a picture of the entire left side of page 52. You can see that this is a record of Sealing to Parents Ordinances. Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt’s children are on the bottom of this page. They are listed after the 14 August 1901 date.
Above is a picture of the entire right side of page 52. You can see that these Sealing to Parents ordinances were in the Salt Lake Temple. You can also see that Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt are the parents in this Sealing to Parents ordinance. Peter Burt and Margaret Russell Burt’s Sealing to Parents of their children is the last Sealing on this page, and it is below the 14 August 1901 date.
In summary, can you please restore Jean (Jane) Burt (LDYS-VVK), Peter Burt Jr. (L6C2-7KJ), Peter Burt (LYS9-M3N), and Isabel Burt’s (LDYS-VP3) original Sealing to Parents ordinance date of 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple to them because that is the first time that they were Sealed to their Parents, Peter Burt (LDTT-6S3) and Margaret Russell (LDTT-6Q3).
Thank you for your time in helping to restore this sacred original Sealing to Parents ordinance date of 14 August 1901 in the Salt Lake Temple to four of my direct Burt ancestors.

Diana,
Thank you so much in restoring the Sealing to Parents ordinances to my Burt family. My great grandfather, Alexander Burt, who was born in Torryburn, Fife, Scotland in 1837 emigrated to Utah when he was 19 years old as part of the Willie Handcart company. Alexander returned back to Scotland in 1880 to serve the first of his 2 missions to Scotland and served in the area where he grew up. While Alexander was serving his mission, he collected records on many, many of his ancestors. When Alexander returned home from his mission, he and several other of his family members began to do temple work for their ancestors using the records that Alexander had found in Scotland; first in the Logan Temple and then in the Salt Lake Temple. Alexander has been an example to me of going to the temple as often as he could.
Because of many merges and mistakes that have been made in Family Search on this Burt line, it has taken me several years to put my family back together and restore their original temple ordinances to them. Thank you in helping me put my Burt family back together correctly with their original temple ordinance dates.
