Bugs?

Your search page seems to have recently taken on a new bug that is going

to make me break something in frustration. (Coming close to pounding

fist on keyboard)

When I click to bring up the search criteria after an initial search, I often highlight the First

Name, for example, to search for spouse of the last searched person.

After this, as I try (key word 'try') to key in a new first name and

initial, it turns out the page was still loading even though it accepted

my mouse-drag highlighting. When I hit the spacebar (between name and middle initial), it acts like I hit enter and returns me to search results that I'd just been looking at.

I don't recall this happening until recently so I assume it's something

you have control over. Please fix this so the search box will NOT

accept input until the page loading process is complete. I've lost count

of the number of false starts I've had because of this and been slowed

down by repeating the same mouse/typing steps just attempted and waiting

for a redundant page reload when the 'space bar ENTER' scenario catches me.

Why I'm mentioning things, I do a lot of searches in a row and note my

memory usage climbing constantly. You should really look into clearing

memory usage on each new search. I've had to start closing the

familysearch page at regular intervals to keep the numbers down and my

system from getting slugginsh.

Thanks, just trying to help.

Thank you reaching out to us in community.

Have tried doing a clear up of the cookies cache on your computer and clearing the history on your browser and setting your Cookie preferences on your Family Search page

I noted memory not storage, as in RAM usage not disk space. Cookies are stored on disk. I'm seeing memory usage climb (via Windows Task Manager) as searches go on, sometimes nearing 1 GB more than baseline (when browser is first launched.) Cookie preferences let me eliminate ad data but won't resolve the memory usage.

    @KoalaKim

I understand what you are saying. Lately I've had the same problem, sometimes, on profile pages. My browser warns me that the page is using significant resources and recommends I close it. Using a system monitor, I see the browser taking up all available memory. Sometimes quitting the page is enough but there have been times when quitting the browser is necessary. Sometimes I even restart the computer.

I have not found it necessary to delete all cookies.
