Can I have sealing done, if I am step daughter?
Am I considered nearest kin if don't know any of the closest kin? Im a step-daughter been giving permission from birth son (my half bro) before he passed away. I accidentally deleted his mom and need again permission. I don't know any of the closest kin but me and my siblings.
RE: Are step-children able to request permission or give permission for ordinances for individuals born in the last 110 years?
The short answer is that it depends on the relationship.
Add your relationship to Family Tree indicating that you are a step child. Then request the ordinance. You will receive an email asking for further information. Reply to the email giving the wanted information so your situation can be considered.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
In regard, to doing the "Temple' Work, for one Born, LESS than x110 Years ago; where, "Permission Required" ...
Question: Does your "Step-Child" Relationship, appear in the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'?
And, if so, does the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', in fact, indicate/recognise, that you have a "Relationship", through "View My Relationship".
IF, so, in BOTH, cases; THEN, you should be able to proceed, with a "Request", for "Temple" Work.
[ Especially, as you have "Permission", from your Half-Brother ... ]
IF, the "System", indicates, that you DO NOT, have a "Relationship", through "View My Relationship"; THEN, such would make things difficult to proceed, with a "Request", though the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.
Just my thoughts.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.
