Do we still perform proxy baptism in the temple for a deceased member?

My husband's grandmother died a year ago. She was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was still living. Do we still need to perform proxy baptism when we bring her name to the temple? Thank you for answering in advance. :)

    FYI

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

    Question:

If your Husband's Grandmother, was a Member of the Church, are you aware, if when she passed, whether or not, her "Membership" Record in the Church, marked as "Deceased"?

The reason, that I ask, is that ...

IF, it was; THEN, it is most likely (depending on circumstances), that her 'FamilySearch Person Identifier' (PID), that was created, from her "Membership" Record, in the Church, would have any of her "Temple" Work, that was ALREADY "Completed"; as, recorded.

Which, would negate the requirement, to do, the "Temple" Work, for that ALREADY "Completed".

    Just my thoughts.

I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Brett
