Census Header Review
I'm just starting header review and find nothing about how to index the signature of the enumerator: Is it surname, comma, given name or as it appears? And what if there's a prefix (Mrs.) in front of the name? Thank you for your help on this!

@samshicat, regarding the comma in the enumerator's name, the AI program looks like it used the same name format as the Review Name program (Last Name, Given Name) which is incorrect for a signature. The comma should be deleted unless it is part of the written signature.
To quote Janell Vasquez,
"We also launched Header Review – a very simple review of the top of each page. For the most part, type what you see and delete information that doesn’t belong. The computer did standardize some of the place names, so those may be slightly different than what you see on the image, and they are ok to leave there."
Keep on reporting the issues so the FamilySearch folks are aware and can add FAQ helps. Not sure that they can fix anything on their end since this is contract work.

g. Enumerator's Signature
Verify the names as they were written in box g.
Do not expand abbreviations.
Do not include titles, terms, prefixes, or suffixes with the name.
If the box was empty, skip this field.

Do we put surname first followed by comma and given name? That seems to be the way AI wants to put it, though the name is wrong.

Also, where are you finding the info? I don't see anything that says not to include titles.

But what if you can't read the name of the enumerator?

I don't think anyone is going to be searching the census documents for the enumerator's or checker's names. Have no idea why Ancestry had everything in the heading scanned.
I've found the AI program to be rather unsuccessful at reading the signatures and often off by a line, so do the best you can. I wish one of the moderators would let us know if we can put * or ? for unknown letters.
