Hi I can't request one of my family names. It's says that they were born within 110 years, but it only says that because the birth and death years are unknown. Hey husband was born in 1879. I don't know for certain if she was born before 1912, but I have a good feeling that she couldn't have been.

You nearly always need at least one date and one place. Keep researching until you get sufficient information to add what you need to her record and then you will be able to request it. Have you found the family in any census records? That would generally provide what you need. If they lived in the US, you should be able to find her in the 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, and 1940 census records, depending on when she was born and how long she lived.

If you post her Family Tree ID number, people may be able to give other ideas as to where to find information about her based on what you already know.

They were from Germany. I will start looking for her name in the records.

I don't know much about German records, but you might find this interesting: https://lisalouisecooke.com/2018/02/12/german-census-records/

I hope someone on this board that works in Germany can give you some pointers.
