This person's first names contain one or more invalid words

I have a bit of a conundrum with my fourth-great grandmother. When trying to seal her to her parents, it gives me the following comment: This person's first names contain one or more invalid words

That is curious to me, as there appear to be no invalid words in her name. No commas, quotation marks, parenthesis, etc.

Her name is Malinda Ann Thompson (21TQ-ZX1).

I've tried editing her name by removing it and re-typing it, removing her middle name, making certain there are no stray spaces, etc.

Any assistance is appreciated. Her siblings are sealed to her parents, but FamilySearch has singled her out, indicating the presence of one or more invalid words.

Thanks for any help / suggestions.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

    As, I am "Related" ...

In relation to Malinda Ann THOMPSON ( 21TQ-ZX1 ) ...

Your "Conundrum", has been MOSTLY been addressed/fixed, by you ...

The "Temple" Work for her, NOW appears; EXCEPT, the "SP".

And, that particular "Conundrum", can be very EASILY addressed/fixed, by you ...

    Simply ...

Go to her Mother, Mrs James THOMPSON ( LZL6-867 ) ...

▬ Go to her "Name" Field ... and, select "Edit" ...

▬ ▬ "Remove", the honorific, of "Mrs", from the "First Names" Sub-Field ...

▬ ▬ And, instead, add the honorific, of "Mrs", to the "Title" Sub-Field ...

    ▬ ▬ "Save" ...

    ▬ ▬ Done...

Give the "System", a few Minutes, to "Synchronize" ...

Then, you should be able to either, 'see' the "Completed" Work for "SP" ...

Or, if not, such, should be available, to "Reserve", if NOT already "Reserved" or "Completed" ...

I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Brett

ps: The honorific, of "Mrs", in the "First Names" Sub-Field, IS the cause of the "Invalid" Word ...

    Brett,

Thanks bunches -- that worked perfectly. Ironically, I thought maybe the system was responding to the period at the end of Mrs., so I removed that. But as you know, that didn't solve the problem. I moved the Mrs to the Title box and voila! -- problem solved.

I also removed James from Mrs. James Thompson, so that she shows as Mrs. Thompson, so as not to confuse others later.

So how are you related to Malinda / Melinda? She is my fourth-great grandmother.

    Thanks again for the assistance.

Doesn't work now. TITLE, suffix, & name fields hate 'mrs.' or 'n.n.'

?Where is the CURRENT list for name/place paramenters?

    @D'merrill

    FYI

    It's 'Brett'.

    Just in passing ...

I DO NOT know; nor, do I understand, what you mean, when you say:

"... Doesn't work now. TITLE, suffix, & name fields hate 'mrs.' or 'n.n.' ..."

I just tried, the likes of, mrs.; n.n.; Mrs.; N.N.; 'mrs.'; 'n.n.'; "mrs."; "n.n."; 'Mrs.'; 'N.N.'; "Mrs."; "N.N." (ie. Including those, WITH the "Apostrophes"), they ALL worked just fine (and, were accepted), in BOTH, the "Title"; and, "Suffix", Sub-Fields, of the, "Name"; and, "Alternate Name", Fields.

And, that was the SAME, with the "Browsers" of, 'Google' "Chrome"; 'Mozilla' "FireFox; and, 'Microsoft' "Edge", all with the "Operating System" of , "Windows 10"; and, ALL, with the LATEST "Versions", of each.

They are certainly NOT 'hated' (or, disallowed) in either of, the "Title"; and, "Suffix", Fields.

    Just my thoughts.

The N.N. and Mr/Mrs. is a communication problem the Temple Dept. is having with the Family Tree. You can put nearly anything in the Tree entries. Temple data is a whole other animal.
