Searching Detroit MI records

Im looking for my deceased brother's marriage license and also birth record of his daughter, also deceased. A general search on FS doesnt bring anything up.

I tried using the WIKI, but that only puled up about 4 names all of which preceeded my family by about 100 years.

I googled Detroit, Wayne County records only to find you have to travel there or pay a fee upfront before they will even conduct a search.

What's next?

Did you see the Wiki page for Wayne County ?(https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Wayne_County,_Michigan_Genealogy)

After following some links I found this page from the Wayne County Clerk (https://www.waynecounty.com/elected/clerk/birth-certificates.aspx) that says pre-1978 birth records are the responsibility of the State of Michigan rather than Wayne County.
