page documents forward and backward

I'm browsing through hundrets of documents sequentially page by page (Herrschaftsprotokolle Upper Austria, not indexed) in search for a name (Asanger). Because of the old handwriting this needs much concentration. So I move the cursor through the text to help my eyes looking. At the end of a page I move to the next one by clicking to the little arrow on top of the page. Unfortunately this field is rather small and one must carefully move the cursor into the sensitiv area. In order to get fast to the next page this field should be much bigger. Alternatively the right and left key could be used as is the case in many other applications. This would allow to keep the finger permanently on the right key and just press it once to move forward (and backward respectively). This may not sound of much of an improvement, but when one is browsing so many pages as I do each extra move counts.
