Ancestry enumeration district finder

While the FamilySearch portal will allow you to access Ancestry.com to view the 1950 census, it apparently does not have access to the Ancestry 1950 census district finder application (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/district-map/62308). The link is on this page at Ancestry (https://www.ancestryinstitution.com/search/collections/62308).

Was this an oversight? It is a very useful tool. Can it be made available to patrons at the Family History Centers?

Thank you.

There are two resources that you can use to view the images. The first is in the FamilySearch Blog in the URL quoted below:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/1950-us-census-search-images

The second way is to use the source on SteveMorse.org to find the enumeration district. From there you can go to Search -> Images and find the location. Using Advanced Search you can select Census Records and from there go to the image of the ED that you found in SteveMorse.org.

    Hopefully this will help.

Thank you for the suggestions. They both work fine. I still would like to know if the Ancestry tool will be available to FHC patrons. In some respects it is a bit easier to use to find a specific census district map.

It won't work for me unless I am signed into Ancestry.com. I have not tried to access it from a FHL.

If you know the Enumeration District, My Heritage also has all the images online (for free).
