Name Already Reserved and Shared with Temple
A close friend of my family has a mother whose temple work just recently became able to reserve. Within 2 weeks, someone else reserved the name and shared it with the temple.
Is there any way I could reserve this name to do the ordinances in my family?

Hi Mike,
Your best course of action would be for your friend to message the person who reserved the name and shared it with the temple, and ask them to unshare it. It would be helpful and hopefully, more persuasive, if they explained their very close relationship. The person would then need to pass the details to your friend so that they could do the work.
There is a Knowledge Article that explains things in detail, but as your FS account isn't linked to your membership account yet, I am unable to share the link. Your accounts can be linked by going to your account settings.
If you go to the help icon and select Help Centre from the drop-down menu, you can type 'What happens to ordinances when I share them with the temple', and you will be taken to the article and others that you may find useful.
You will need to get your friend to do this quickly as once the card has been printed by the temple, it cannot be unshared.

Just in passing ...
IF, the "Temple" Work, of the individual/person, has ALREADY been, "Reserved"; and, "Share[d] with the Temple System", by a (Church Mmber) User/Patron; THEN, that "Temple" Work, SHOULD, be available to "Request", by OTHER (Church Member) Users/Patrons, like yourself.
Provided, that the individual/person, WAS Born OVER 110 Years ago; as, technically, ANY (Church Member) User/Patron, CAN "Request", to "Reserve", such "Temple" Work.
But, of course; as, that Temple" Work has been "Share[d] with the Temple System"; then, the subsequent "Reservation", is ONLY for a (Short Term) "Period" of x90 Days (ie. NOT, the usual x2 Years).
And, once, the (Short Term) "Period" of x90 Days, has "Expired"; and, if the Work is NOT "Completed"; then, the "Reservation", reverts BACK, to the "Temple System"; being, available for, ANOTHER (Church Member) User/Patron, to "Request" (again, for x90 Days).
The ONLY time, that one CANNOT do so (ie. "Request"), is if, a "Temple", has "Printed", an "Ordinance", in preparation, to be used, by OTHER Patrons of a "Temple", from "Temple File".
Now ...
That Said ...
Whereas ...
IF, the "Temple" Work, of the individual/person, has ALREADY been, "Reserved"; and, "Share[d] with the Temple System"; PLUS, the individual/person, was Born LESS than 110 Years ago; THEN, that would most likely be, a situation; where, "Permission" is "Required", for a (Church Member) User/Patron to so "Request"; despite, that the "Temple" Work, has been "Share[d] with the Temple System", by another; and, is available to "Request", by OTHER (Church Member) Users/Patrons, like yourself.
The latter is another matter.
IF, the latter, is the case; THEN, please advise; so that, we can provide you with, further information.
