Surname skipped by Name Review

I have a few where there are surnames but I'm not getting a blue box for the surname, it is skipping right to the given name. How do we insert a review box that is skipped by the program or how do we flag it? I flagged the given name as OTHER to say that surname was skipped but don't know if that is the right way to do it. Thank you

Go ahead and index what is in the blue box It may be skipping for a variety of reasons, but in the Name Review portion just focus on what is in the blue box. There are other portions like Family Review that will pick up the things that are skipped.

In addition, because we have the ability to select the names we want to review, you might find that a name has already been reviewed and the system skips it.

I can attest someone else worked "my" surname before I got there, and when I got there in Review Names my blue boxes skipped right over that family.

Your thoughts are correct:

The blue highlight may skip few names/surnames or even go from side to side of the image and is based on how much the names on the image were reviewed by somebody else. The system is trying to review all the names and as long as somebody mark them unsure, they system would bring those names to another reviewer.

Sometimes your 20 o more names chosen to review would go in a ordered manner but other times would most likely not. Sometimes you would start from he top of the record, sometimes at the middle it depends on your number of names you have chosen to match/review.
