There have been several suggestions to use "baptism" for christening, but I can see there are issues with that, especially considering the baptisms performed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Instead, could you please add "Christening" as a section on the "Add to Family Tree" sidebar when attaching sources. This would save time so I don't have to open the individual person and add all the details from their "baptism" to their "christening".

    @Kiersten Nickel

    The issue could be solved instantly (with "new" sources / records) if FamilySearch would just be consistent and stop showing all such events (except adult baptism events) as Baptisms. I have instances of the exact same event being recorded differently in FamilySearch sources - say, twice as a "Baptism" and twice as a "Christening" (in cases when the event has been indexed four times).

    Why there can't be a simple instruction to use only the one term - which has to be "Christening" as long as this is the way the event is shown in the "Vitals" section - is beyond my understanding.
