Hello! I have a quick question for you all. my grandmas brothers wife past away a little over 2 years ago. she was not a member. and I would like to request for her ordinances to be done. So here is my question. can I get my grandma to give me permission to do the ordinances for her, or does it have to be one of her children or one of her siblings in order for the permissions to work?

Thank you guys so much for all you do! you guys are the best! and I appreciate every detail that has been put into this website!

hope you have a wonderful day

We are attaching a link to a Knowledge Article that will give you all the information you need to request the ordinances.

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-request-ordinances-for-an-ancestor-who-was-born-in-the-last-110-years

Here is a sentence from that article that answers your question, "A close living relative can be an undivorced spouse, an adult child, a parent, or a sibling." Unfortunately your grandmother would not be considered a sibling.

There are Related Articles attached to the link above as well. Some of those articles may be beneficial too.

    Best wishes!
