I just merged two women and lost the original baptism and confirmation dates! What happened? How can they be restored?

    Hi Mary,

Thanks for your questions. Just for clarification here. I see you have merged these individuals and the surviving record is K4DC-3TZ.

There looks to be over the years a number of different records that have been merged together.

You are saying you have lost the "original baptism and confirmation" dates? The record currently is showing dates for 1917. What dates are you needing restored?

This can happen when merging, as the person has, effectively, had their ordinances completed multiple times. From what I've seen, often the most recent ordinances are the ones that remain visible. (Although all ordinance information is still held in the background).

    Thanks.

The dates before I did a merge today were 1877. It would be nice to have those original B&C dates retained. It appears that the system saved the B&C dates from the person with a specific birth day, month and year.
