Similar requests have been made over the past, many years. The Couple Relationship has been sadly neglected by the developers. Unfortunately, marriage licences are often treated by FamilySearch as though they relate to the marriage ceremony itself, so I don't expect much progress with this issue. No harm to keep on trying, though!

Working with late-19th-century and early-20th-century Mexican records, at least for some of that time a couple would show up at the registrar a few weeks before the wedding and declare an "información matrimonial"; then they would come back on the actual wedding day, reaffirm their intent to be married, and then be actually married "in the name of the State". Both declartions were written out in the same register, using the same sequence of certificate numbers.

So maybe the term needs to be a little more generic, but I would definitely have a use for such an additional couple relationship event.
