The old family search screen has a "To-Do List" that is quite helpful. Why is this not on the new version?

On that new home page, on the left side is a Feedback button.

Click the button, select the emoji for how you are feeling about it, then a new screen will open where you can send feedback that will go to the engineering team over the new feature.

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

{ With what appears to be your first post ... ]

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

That is a "Very" GOOD 'Question' ...

    'Yes', you are correct ...

    ALL sorts of THINGS ...

    But ...

    That Said ...

    NO "To-Do List" ...

Hopefully, that is just an OVERSHIGHT ...

I really hope, that 'FamilySearch' understands, that there ARE Users/Patrons, who ACTULYY use that "List".

I hope, that 'FamilySearch', DOES NOT, simply "Discard", the "To-Do List".

Certainly, NOT without plenty of forewarning; as, Users/Patrons would loose, ALL the "Details", that they have on that List.

    Just my thoughts.

Where is the ToDo list? It seems that the "New" is a mess. I tried to find it using the "?" search in the upper-right corner and it won't accept and typing. If I turn off the "Try new homepage features" I can find the ToDo list and the "?" works fine. Seems to me that the New page isn't ready for people to try and will give people a negative impression of the site.

One thing I am concerned with is that there are large amounts of both on-line and individually created getting started or learning to use FamilySearch and How to resources based on the old format. Changing these screens creates a significant challenge for people using these resources and will cause a lot of confusion, and it will take a large amount of time to update existing resources once the new layouts go mainstream.

Continuing to leave the option to switch to the old format, and maintaining layout , tabs and features to the extent possible in similar locations and just adding new features would greatly aid in resolving this confusion.

For example, the timeline and maps should continue to have a link on the detail person page, not just on the summary page. Same for other features. Multiple links from different pages should not be a big deal, but finding where things moved to and getting frustrated because it is no longer where you are use to finding it is a big deal if those links are no longer there.

By the way, I cannot get the feedback link on the side of the new format pages to work regardless of what browser I am using.
