To upgrade you don't need a username or password. The windows 10 can be downloaded from another computer you can get into and it's a bootable flash drive that will re-image the computer.

    Hello

May I offer you this page on my FHC Help website:

    https://www.familyhistorycentre.org/pages/lang_entrypages/englishentry/index_en.html

Link buttons 11 and 12 offer video guidance on how to prepare a USB Installation drive, with which to re-image a Windows 7 Computer to Windows 10.

When you have the USB Installation drive ready in the target computer, it is best to start by powering up and immediately start tapping the F2 key, until the BIOS screen appears. Once there you click Boot Sequence on the upper left of the screen and then make sure, on the right of the screen, that the UEFI Radio button is dotted and NOT the Legacy radio button. Now click Apply and Exit. The installation should now commence normally. The procedure lasts around 30 minutes and does need several interactions. The video guides shows these clearly.

After the re-imaging, you will need to Activate the new operating system. Download the FHC Application Finder , which will give access to downloading the Activation Script.

If the FHC Application Finder presents with a security error when downloading, ignore this and install anyway. Open and you will see the link for the Activation Script. Run this script again if the first attempt is unsuccessful.
