Temple cards won't print

Welda Lendt
Welda Lendt ✭

The cards are marked as printed by a mistake of mine, but won't print now. I called for help and went thru the steps with my helper. Then I cleaned my Cache. They still won't go passed the second "Continue" screen. Help!

    @Welda Lendt

We are sorry you are having printing issues. We suggest you check the following:

You put a checkmark in the box in front of the name.

You printer has paper in it, and ready to print.

You are set to print in landscape.

You pushed the print button top right on your screen.

We hope the article link below will assist your troubleshooting.

    Good luck.

I have 10 name from the ordinance ready file, hit print, names come up it says to hit continue and then it just sits there and won't go any farther. I tried many times now. It just won't go any farther. I used this same

ordinance ready and never had any problems. I have given them back and restarted, but it makes no difference, it won't go pass hitting continue, and just sits there. Not sure what to do?

This has to be an error on family search - I can't print either. The page that is supposed to show up as a PDF, with the actual ordinance cards, isn't showing up. You click print, no PDF. Yet then it shows the ordinances as being printed. Family Search IT needs to look at this as it's not a user error and not a printer error. Thanks.

    @jaraujo2810648

    FYI

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

They ARE in the Process, of addressing/fixing such ...

    But ...

    That Said ...

It is NOT, as simple, as most of us think.

They FIRST, have to find and identify, the cause; before, they can start to address/fix.

"Programming"; and, "Coding"; and, especially, even, doing the remedial work, is NOT easy.

    Like it or not ...

We just need to be patient.

Most of us, are ... 'in the same boat' ...

'FamilySearch', KNOWS how IMPORTANT, this matter is ...

    Unfortunately ...

Some Users/Patrons ARE able to "Print" the "Temple" Cards ...

    Whereas ...

Some Users/Patrons CANNOT "Print" the "Temple" Cards ...

That is what makes it, so hard, to pinpoint, let alone address/fix ...

    Just my thoughts.

I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

    Brett

ps: ANYWAY ... "Temples", ALWAYS have, plenty, of "Temple File" Cards, on hand, that they can handout ...

.... [ Although, we ALL know; certainly, NOT as GOOD; as, DOING the Work, for one's OWN Ancestors ... ]

pps: But, certainly better, than have NONE at all to do ...

    @mgazdik3810431

    FYI

    It's 'Brett'.

We very rarely get advised, when something is even addressed/fixed ...

Let alone, a 'Status Report", of the "Progress", of Problem/Issue, that is being addressed/fixed ...

'FamilySearch', just DOES NOT have, the "Resources" (ie. 'Time'; and/or, 'Personnel'), to do so ...

Most of the time, we only find out, that a problem/issue HAS been addressed/fixed, is when it starts to work ...

As as I stated in my previous 'Comment' ...

    Like it or not ...

We just need to be patient.

    FYI

    Just in passing ...

Another User/Patron has advised, that they were able to "Print", the "Temple" Cards, by switching to the "Browser" of "Brave"

    https://brave.com/

NOT one of the "Browsers", this is "Fully" supported, by 'FamilySearch' ...

    But ...

    That Said ...

IF, it works; THEN, ... 'Beggars CANNOT be CHOOSERS' ...

As, an interim measure, for those, that want to give it a go ...

    Good Luck.

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett

    ps: From the OTHER User/Patron

I used the Brave Browser to print the temple cards. Hope you can too. Ric

I had success in printing cards when I opened up family search in Chrome instead of my usual Safari. March 30, 11.30 am.

I'm having the exact same problem. the PDF file is not appearing. I've reloaded the Adobe printer, rebooted. Tested the printer and printed perfectly from other applications--then went back to Family Search and still not working. This is definitely a Family Search application issue not an individual computer fluke.

So, I did go to another computer to try another browser (other then Safari). The Roccat browser printed it right away. What's up with that? (we know that we don't like Google because it mines every click we make and sells our personal data to every hooligan in the known universe--so that ones out. Waterfox might be a good alternative? Or maybe NetSurf? Firefox is a possibility. Edge is a joke--don't go there. Explorer has too many issues and seems to be on its way out. Safari has been great....
