I am indexing US, New York, Erie—Index to Land Records, Grantees, 1630–1975 [Part B][M32P-R6K]. The book number hints to me that it should be in the 1800's but because its typed, it raises questions in my mind.

Could someone enlighten me please.

Thanks,

Al

    Hi,

Thank you for your question. I've looked at the batch you shared, and agree that you are unable to be certain as to the year of the record.

Looking at the project instructions for typed records, it does states just to index the 2 digit year and not to assume the first 2 digits.

I hope this helps answer your query. Thanks for your help in this great work.
