The system enables one to send a contributor a message about information on ancestors. How do I access past messages? Or, is there a way to follow-up on messages sent previously?

I cannot find an option anywhere on the system to do this.

Assuming you are talking about messages sent / received within Family Tree, you will find yourS messages by clicking on the icon to the right of the "?" one.
