Problem with Search failing to show record preview in right pane.
For the last few days, when I click on a record from the search results the preview of the record doesn't appear in the right pane... I just get:
"Unfortunately, something went wrong and we are unable to display the record. Try refreshing the page, or come back later." with a 'Reload the Page' button.
After reloading the page the same thing happens again. It seems to happen mainly with Census records for New South Wales, Australia.
I literally can't look at the details of a record using search now.
Has anyone else been reporting this problem?

@ChristopherTemple-Watts The engineers have created a bug ticket for the problem. They indicate that it only occurs with the 1891 Australia census, no other collections.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be from "Downunder" ... ]
Just in passing ...
'Yes', you are CORRECT ...
I can, confirm; and, support, your findings on this Probelm/Issue ...
The particular problem/issue, certainly DOES appear to be, related to, the Census records, for the State, of New South Wales, in Australia.
And ...
That Said ...
Such, is NOT, only restricted, to the "Preview" Pane, on the 'Right-Hand-Side', of the "Results" page/screen.
But ...
Such, ALSO applies, if one wants to open the "Link", in a NEW, 'Tab'; and/or, 'Window' ...
Same, Same ...
Screenshots ...
"Preview" Pane
Census records, for the State
Another Record
NEW, 'Tab'; and/or, 'Window' ...
Census records, for the State
Another Record
'FamilySearch'
Please Note: That the SAME Records, were selected, in each case.
Definitely a matter, that NEEDS investigation.
I know, that this certainly does not exactly help/assist; but, I hope, that this is able to support your finding on the Problem/Issue, that you have identified.

@ChristopherTemple-Watts Is this problem still happening for you? My attempts to replicate so far have not been successful. Can you provide us with a few specific examples of search terms that pulled up the search results and whether the right panel fails to populate for all entries in the search results, or only some of them? It would also be helpful to know what operating system you use and what version of said operating system. Also, what browser and the browser version. And whether you have cleared cache and cookies lately. Thank you.

I've seen this problem a lot lately. It is random. It's not always searches. Some feature or another will start doing this. It usually clears up after a few hours. Right now, I can't see any source pages. The link from the person page to the source page is broken.
I hope y'all finish up whatever this update is soon, because it's really annoying to have random features breaking at random times. Especially since the main purpose of this update seems to be taking a perfectly good search function, and ruining it. I have yet to see anyone who thinks these "updates" are an improvement. You've removed everything people like, and added a bunch of stuff that just makes it harder to use.

FYI
It's 'Brett'.
'Belatedly' ...
As I missed you response yesterday ...
Just in passing ...
'Yes' ... I can CONFIRM. that such is STILL a Problem/Issue ...
Again, such can STILL be "Replicated" ...
Here, try this, in "Search Records":
When you select, any of those, indicating the Census, of the State, of New South Wales, Australia, you get:
The "Images"; as, above - ie. "Something Went Wrong" - NO matter which way one goes.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

I was seeing this problem again about 10 hours ago.
I was noticing other problems with Search, so I just stopped using it. Once my frustration subsides and I can organize a detailed report, I'll follow up on that.

@Cheryl Viering – this sort of intermittent glitchy performance usually is due to server farm issues. FamilySearch computers are not delivering all the bits and pieces needed to render the complete web page. It may have nothing to do with FamilySearch directly; it can be due to parts of the internet suffering network disruptions due to severe weather events, cyberattacks, or other causes.

FYI
There WAS a post, in-between my PREVIUOS two (x2) 'Comments' (above); where, @N Tychonievich advised, that matter was, now known; and, being investigated; plus, that the problem/issue, ONLY related, to the the "1891, Census, of the State, of New South Wales, Australia".
That post, has SINCE, been "Deleted"/"Removed", for whatever reason.
There MUST be further complications.

@Liz . Thank you for the reminder. Engineers had indicated that the problem was solved. We see that it isn't. I'll let them know.
