James Davidson L48M-K6F

The record of James Davidson was created by FamilySearch with 2 sets of different parents:
- James Davidson KFP2-MG6 and Mrs. James Davidson M7VK-TNJ
- William Davidson L4N1-9ZR and Jean Thomson KLFM-NXQ
There is an extracted IGI record used to create the record of James Davidson L48M-K6F (birth/christening record) that shows another set of parents: William Davidson and Euphan (probably Euphemia?) Davidson.
It appears to be a case of incorrectly combined nFs records. Is it possible to get some help straightening out these records and the associated ordinances?

Looks interesting.
It will take a little while to sort this out and guide you, as the fist James Davidson KFP2-MG6 shows eight different Mrs Davidsons attached to him. I will work on this for you this morning and let you know my findings and suggestions.
As an aside, I live in Scotland, about forty miles from where your ancestor was born, and have a James Davidson farming in our glen.
Will reply soon.
Kind regards,
Barry

Brother Johnson,
How wonderful to correspond with someone in Scotland! I'm glad you're intrigued by the mess on James Davidson's record. I appreciate any guidance you can give me in correcting the record. I don't have a clue what to do with the spouses attached to him that are identified as "?" since deleting them is not an option. I suppose I could remove the relationship and it would probably allow the record to be deleted then. Unless there is an ordinance(s) attached to those records but it doesn't appear there is. They are invalid records at this point in time. Let me know if you think that would be appropriate for me to do.
Thank you,
Lori Knudsen
