I am a researcher in the Church History Department. I use the Family Search search tools hundreds of time each week. The new format offers the same options but requires more key strokes. The new format may look appealing to newcomers but the old style was much more efficient.

Also, make up your minds about locations. Will there be a drop down box of valid names, or not? There are lots of ways of specifying jurisdictions for place names that are used all over the world. I don't want to have to figure out which ones you consider valid.
