GOVERNMENT RECORDS-BIRTH-DEATH- ETC.
FOR YEARS NOW SEACHING ANCESTRY, MY HERITAGE, FAMILY TREE THER IS NOT MUCH IN FINDING GOVERNEMENT RECORDS THAT ALL THE STATES KEEP ON FILE-- YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING THROUGH THE STATE FOR RECORDS. WHY CAN'T ALL THESE FAMILY TREES LIKE ANCESTRY, MY HERITAGE, FAMILY TREE, LEGACY, GENI, ETC HAVE THE RIGHT TO THESE RECORDS SO THAT WHEN WE SUBSCRIBE TO ONE OF THEM THE REORDS WILL BE THERE--THIS WAY MORE PEOPLE WOULD SUBSCRIBE TO WEBSITES AND MOST LIKELY CREATE FAMILY TREES. RIGHT NOW I DO NOT BLAME THEM FOR NOT SUBSCRIBING TO YOUR PLANS. NOTHING IS AVAILABLE AND IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO FIND RECORDS.

Genealogy websites can't help it if the government doesn't put their records online and charges fees to access them. That is a political issue for the politicians and voters of the country, state or county to consider. If you live in a place that has restrictive policies on access to genealogical records, then you should contact your representatives and be sure to vote in all the primary and general elections. You can also contact Reclaim the Records (https://www.reclaimtherecords.org/), an organisation with a strong track record of forcing governments to make records publicly and either freely or cheaply available.
