Request Permission

Reference Charles Louis Devitt - LBZV-YZL

Charles was born 22 Jun 1920. He died 14 May 1973. Family Search requires "Request Permission" before any temple ordinances may be performed. Why is this necessary since there is a death date? Thank you.

Please be, aware; and, advised ...

That it is, the 'Date' of "Birth", that predicates the "Permission Required", not that there is a 'Date' of "Death".

IF, an individual/person, was "Born", within the last 110 Years; THEN, "Permission" is "Required".

Simple as that.

I am requesting permission for husband's relative previously denied with a letter stating "For reservation purposes, you are not considered to be related to your late husband's extended family"

In view my relationship, it shows a relationship; see attached letter and link to the request page for noclose living relatives. She was born in 1933; died 1961. Both parents are now deceased and sibling, Richard,died in 1973. Barbara did not marry and had no children.
