Review Names: What should I do when two sets of words are in the box?

I have run across a box with two person's initials one above the other and wonder how to respond. For example, the box covered both "A K" and "J B" but the transcription was only "A K", so I corrected it to "A K and J B." The next box covered both of the surnames. I corrected "Stevens" to "Stevens and Horne."

A K Stevens

J B Horne

How should I have handled this transaction???

Thank you for your question. According to the current instructional resources, and how it sounds like the names appeared in the record and were highlight, you made the right correction. There is a transcription error option that you can use as well, if needed. Additionally, we are working on a frequently asked questions (FAQ) knowledge article (KA) that will be available in the FamilySearch Help Center.

Where do we find these instructional resources??? I am concerned about what to do when the word "vacant" appears under the blue rectangle and the computer aided indexation is for a name that starts with V. Should I enter the word "vacant" in both the surname and the first name data entry boxes?

On https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/1950 there is a link to the FAQ. It is hard to see: in the gold banner at the top, small red text, with the word "FAQ".

Since I asked the question about how to handle "Vacant" and "No one at Home" a new button to click has been added to identify non persons. Thanks for the tip on FAQ which leads to more places to click and more places to explore to hopefully finally come up with an answer on the blue box dilemma.
