How do I gain access to perform temple work for a great-aunt-in-law?

How do I gain access to perform temple work for a great-aunt-in-law? Her son has asked us to do this but we cannot get past the automated family search "request" feature because we don't show as "related" since she was my aunt's mother-in-law.
