Record 9 - The child is a foundling - she was found by Maria Addolorata Casciaro the previous night, near to her house. The child was given the name Luigia Maggio by the authorities, and she was given to the above mentioned nurse ("balia"), wife of Giorgio Cozzano, who promised to take responsibility for the upbringing and custody of the child. This means that the biological parents of the child were unknown, and the names shown are those of the adoptive parents.
Record 10 - The child is a foundling - he was found by Lucia Addolorata Romano, near to her house. The child was given the name Antonio Domenchini by the authorities, and he was given to the above mentioned nurse ("balia"), wife of Giambattista Cavalero, who promised to take responsibility for the upbringing and custody of the child. This means that the biological parents of the child were unknown, and the names shown are those of the adoptive parents.

Thank you for your excellent comments and thoroughness. That is exactly what I needed. I do not read Italian, but I am learning and taking a class currently.
Where in the record were you tipped off that this was a foundling and that the baby was assigned a name by the authorities?
Hope I can consult with you on further records.
Thanks again

@NormVenturi I'm no longer able to view the batch, but if you can share it with me again, I can tell you how to identify foundling cases, and what are the exact keywords in Record 9 and 10.
I'd be happy to help on further records if needed.
