Last Name question

Sierra Leone Batch [M36K-G2J] The last name is totally questionable. I see nothing like it anywhere in Google. I also could be spelled - Tumenu. The informants last name is completely different so it cannot be him.

@Harmon, James Bartlett what I see is "Tumemi" for both the father and son, but that is what I see. Someone else may see something different. Perhaps you will want to hold the batch for a moment and see if there may be other views/opinions. I would also caution against using outside sources when indexing. We index what we see and let the researchers handle the rest. I will ask @Melissa S Himes to give a clearer explanation.

Thank you for indexing these records for families.

I would use the wild cards on this. ?ume* It gives a searcher a fighting chance.

    Thanks for the tag.

As far as I know, unless something has changed, we are allowed to use outside sources to verify information when available, we just don't index any information taken from an outside source.
