Permission to complete temple work for deceased family of an elderly sister we minister to
My wife (Pamela) and I are the ministering couple for Colleen Hewitt Buckner (DOB 07/05/1936). She has requested that we complete the temple work for her deceased daughter Penelope Ann Buckner (19 June 1956 - LFQ7 - FH4). She does not have the physical capacity to complete this work. In starting this process, we helped her create a family file last fall.
We sought permission to complete this work in October, but in discussion today with a Family Search counselor, no record of this request was found. It was suggested that I make another request through this new portal. Please find attached Colleen's letter.
Thank you for your assistance!

Since you are a ministering couple to her, can I assume she is a member of the church? If so, you really don't need to ask permission here. Just assist her in going into FamilySearch and printing out an ordinance card for her daughter. As long as she prints out the card, she can give it to whomever she wishes to complete the work.

Gordon,
Sister Buckner does not have a Family Search account as she doesn't have a computer or e-mail address. At her request and with the information she's provided, we've been entering her family history. Thus, this request to get approval to do the work for her daughter. I know that would be much easier, but at this point, its probably not an option.
Many thanks.
