Grandmother and aunt ordinances not available?

My grandmother has died over a year ago and has had her chart updated as such. Her daughter died many years ago and has been recorded as such for years. I have tried taking their names to the temple for ordinances never done and I cannot- the system shows ordinances as unavailable. My father and mother are quite distressed (as am I) that the work is hindered. What is going on? Why is this? I cannot find any possible duplicate records with ordinances recorded, or any other problems like it. Please help.
