I am wondering how to have temple reservations transferred from my sister to me.

My sister Linda passed away in August of 2020. She had done research in Norway and left about 150 ordinance cards unfinished, and her Family Search account was locked at her death. I have been working on the ordinance cards she left. The new temple policy of not returning cards and requiring reprinting for each ordinance has left me without a way to reprint them as I complete the previous ordinance. I do not have a list of all the names she reserved. Is there a way to procure the list and have them transferred to my name so I can reprint and continue the ordinance work?

You could keep track of the name and ID numbers of the cards you do have left and request the uncompleted ordinances after completing the work on these cards.
When a member of the Church dies, the clerk adds the death information. The Membership Department receives the death information and adds a death date. FamilySearch locks the member's account. As a result, the temple ordinance list of the deceased member changes:
- No one can print new family name cards from the temple ordinance list.
- Temples continue to do the work for names shared with the temple.
- We can release names not shared with the temple. Release is subject to the 110-year approval process.
- You can complete family name cards you printed before the account lock. Please check to be sure the ordinances are not already complete.
- The system releases the names automatically in accordance with the 2-year policy.
Hope this helps.
