Is there any information on Native American Indexing?

I know that tribes, ended up changing their names because they had too. But, I know that they moved on to Reservations. Would the Census, count them also at the time? Are there any records in the United States that have the name changes from their Native American to the Christian names especially on the west coast.

You may have already seen this Research Wiki article from FamilySearch, but, I will provide the link anyway.

You might also want to join the Community Group First Nations of North America if you are not already a member.

I am going to tag that group's leaders to help with your question. @Steve Walker16 @rae danby2433 @Amber Marstella Rothamer

    Best wishes on your research.
