I have been trying to find my Grandmother born Fanny Pompei born 11 March 1905 Smyrna Turkey, but cant read the documents in the images, she had a British banns marriage to my Grandfather between 1931-1935 in Smyrna Turkey, they also had a son Nelson born 4th February 1936 Smyrna Turkey, I would like to find out more about her as I know nothing, and find it hard when I cant read the other languages, I dont believe her first name was Fanny I think its just what my Grandfather called her, she was Greek, I have her picture from when she was younger and a picture of her on my Grandfathers passport, What can I do to find out more, where can I get help? Any help would be truly appreciated, thank you. Fanny is the young woman sat down on the left, this picture I believe was taken in Turkey, the rest of the women in the picture belong to my Grandfathers family. My Grandmother is a mystery?

As they appear to have identified as British, look at the website

Levantine Heritage: Registers levantineheritage.com. Has links to transcribed records.

The term “Levantines” designates primarily those Europeans and Americans who settled in the Levant - a region generally conterminous with the Ottoman Empire - from the early 17th century until 1923. The Home Page is http://levantineheritage.com The website is quite extensive, and there are some topics/sections which you only can access by using the Search as these sections aren't otherwise linked from other pages.

FamilySearch has some indexed records, see https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/762275 although the records themselves only appear to be available on microfilm, original records available at the London Metropolitan Archives (previously Guildhall Library). Note the Levantine Heritage website has some transcribed records, I'm not sure whether they are the same

Edit; Also, depending to what extent they may have identified as British, there may be British Consular records, as detailed in the FIBIS Fibiwiki page General Register Office https://wiki.fibis.org/w/General_Register_Office
