When I enter the information on the first image and go to the next image, then hit submit batch, it shows the first image blank. It's done this several times, but not every single time. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. I love the project, but can't keep going with this issue.

    Hi @Donna Jane Zug Smith Dalton . When you index the first image and enter you should get a new form. When that form opens go up to the toolbar, click on the trashcan icon and then click delete all blank entries. Once you do that you will be able to scroll to the bottom and click on the next image, fill it in, scroll down and it will allow you to submit your entries.

    On the first form, you indexed I do believe those were twins and the surname is listed. I don't think we are supposed to list addresses just the place (locality) and you also may want to review the birth month.

    I do hope this helps. Thank you for indexing and I agree it is a great project.

    I just looked at your batch. Since those are named twins, you would create a record for each twin. The given name for the first twin is Rosilla and the second is Romilla. It appears that the surname for both is Ramkissoon. You create one record for Rosilla, and then click Create Entry 2 and index Romilla's information. I think that is 15 Filey Grove Sea View for Place of Birth, but, we would only index Sea View. The scribe makes their o's without closing them.

    Then you need to create the index for Image 2. I think that is Kuppamma.

    It looks like you have used the trash can deleted the blank entries since this project is pre-set to 4 entries per image. But, there is more work to be done before you submit. I would try making those changes and see if the information saves and you can submit. Let us know if it works - or if there is still some weird glitch!

    @Donna Jane Zug Smith Dalton

    Melissa is correct on the surname for the twins (their father's given name in this record).

    Image 1, Entry 1: (given) Rosilla; (surname) Ramkissoon

    Image 1, Entry 2: (given) Romilla; (surname) Ramkissoon

    Father's Given Name: Ramkissoon

    Image 2, Entry 1: (given*) Kuppamma; (surname) Munsamy; (birthplace) Sea Cow Lake

    *Even though the ps looks like bs (see the p in "September" in the birthdate.

    You can always Return the batch if you still have problems.

    Oh, dear! I totally missed that they are twins! (I'm really missing the records where one individual scribed the entire 40 entries so I can get a feel for their handwriting!) OK, I'll try to correct these issues and then see if it erases the info or keeps it.

    Thank you so much for all the helpful points you each made!!!

    The handwritten records in this project can be difficult. There are a lot of typed records as well. I only worked on the typed records when I first started this project until I became more familiar with the Indian names. Now even though I've worked on almost 6,000 typed and handwritten records, there are still some handwritten ones I return because I can't make them out. Don't feel bad about returning any batches you have trouble with.
