I'm indexing records from Mexico and at the beginning and ending of a batch their appears to be only a few parts of a record but the person who didn't finish and submit the record found all the missing info from a previous record and filled in all needed info. Is it still possible to view images before and after those showing? Thanks

Are you asking how to look at reference image documents? There are tools located on the top left of your image. If you do not see this, you need to click on "data entry" and then show tool bar.

Click the bottom rectangle "reference images". You will be able to view the 5 previous images and then see the 5 images that come after your batch. You aren't able to see any more images than the ones given in the reference images.

Thanks! That is what I needed to know. Follow up question: If my last image begins a new record (as many do) and the reference page to follow has all the rest of the info needed but says "do not index" how do I know when to use that additional info and index the record that began on my image? Thanks in advance.

To know whether you can use reference images to complete your batch you will need to read the Project Instructions carefully. Some allow it, some do not. Some allow some information but not all.

Only one current project comes to mind where you can use previous information other than record type and that is the Militia rolls for the date only. There may be others but you will have to check the project instructions.

As for indexing following images in the reference images that is allowed sometimes, mostly with documents that stretch over a long ledger. Again your project instructions will most likely tell you if that is acceptable. If it is not clear please post your batch in Communities so Community can help you decide.
