also you may find it much better to load these items you refer to - to a specific ALBUM created just for this special project. In fact its really helpful if all your memories are grouped into albums. so that you can keep them better organized.

Yes you have the ability to share photos that do not belong to your family, but please be careful what you add. Read the following information that will be of help for you.

    Thank you,

These are family photos and documents I have collected and are all dead people. I want to upload digital copies before throwing them away.

So how is this done so they aren't mixed with my family.

The above articles are instructions for adding (tagging) names, groups, etc. You can tag a photo by what you know. The wonderful thing is you may be putting up someone's ancestors that have been looking to find. Since all the people are deceased, there shouldn't be any concern as long as they comply with the rules for uploading memories.

I just uploaded a baby book with some childs articles and it said that it was restricted and will be removed in thirty days. Am i wasting my time adding these to family search. The only thing i see here is a clipart of a baby from the book.

When you receive an item that you get sent a "restriction notice on" simply reply to the email with the words "RESTRICTED IN ERROR" and in most cases it will be unrestricted.

Dont let this prevent you from saving valuable family photos.
