Correcting a parent child relationship

Elizabeth Paterson b1880 G6MC-BCY is on the tree as the daughter of Thomas Paterson b1806 9798-X1D but is in fact his granddaughter and the daughter of Andrew Paterson b1836 9798-X1D

I have tried to delete or replace the relationships but get error messages.
