My brother has an extensive family tree and has given me access to it on the FamilySearch website.

I am just getting started with my own account and wondering how I can import the family tree information that has already been done on my brother's account and add my own information to it??

Thanks very much

Hello @KirkGadzia, that’s so exciting for you!

If you begin by starting your tree with yourself, then your parents, once you reach the point of adding deceased ancestors, you will be able to locate any that were added by your brother. All living people remain only visible to the person who’s account it is, for privacy reasons. Once you have added a generation of deceased relatives, anyone connected to them will then appear on your tree 😊.

The article below explains it in more detail for you.

    Good luck!
