Temple work reserved showing in Temple Ready to have work done by someone else?
Whenever I go to Temple Ready for a person to do temple work for i.e. Endowment, Initatory), a name comes up that is already reserved by someone else. My understanding is that I should let the person who reserved the persons temple work do that work. Is that correct? Then why is Temple ready telling me that the person is available to have their work done by the person who did not reserve that Temple work?

Firstly ...
When you say "Temple Ready" (ie. the OLD format) ...
Question: Do you mean "Ordinances Ready"?
[ Or, do you just mean, though the "Ordinance" 'Tab', of an individual/person? ]
Please advise.
Secondly ...
IF, another User/Patron, has "Reserved" the "Temple" Work; and, "Share[d] with the Temple System"; THEN, that "Temple" Work, is ALSO available, to "Reserve", by ANY User/Patron; PROVIDED, that such has NOT been taken and "Printed" by a "Temple" to undertake that Work.

In other words, Ordinances Ready acts just like going to the temple and being given a card instead of taking your own. Those stacks of cards at the temple did not just appear out of nowhere. They are all from people reserving ordinances and sharing them with the temple. You can think of what you are seeing to be like going to the temple and searching through the stack of cards there to find a person you want to complete ordinances for rather than just being given the one on the top of the pile. The advantage of using Ordinances Ready is that it searches for and gives you a card of someone you are related to.
However, when you take one of these names, again like going to the temple and being given a card, you are expected to complete it right then, not hold on to it. That is why these shared-with-the temple names have 90-day expiration dates (when those get enforced again). We are to complete them right away, not hold onto them for years. This is also why we cannot share one of these names with the temple or with a family group.

When you run Ordinances Ready, the software will look for someone related to you. Ordinances that have been shared with the temple by other users may be selected by the software for you to immediately do.
