Green County Kentucky Marriage Bond
I am trying to get a copy of the actual marriage bond for James Saunders and Mary Ann Hardwick married 17 Mar 1803.
I have this but would like the actual bond. It appears to be from Book C Marriage bonds.
Saunders. James A 50, Hardwick. Polly, B 16 Mar 1803, James Saunders & Win Bricken, C [Marriage Bond] Thomas Hardwick father, Wit [Witness] Wm Bricken & Wm Hardwick, M
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Roger

Thank you for asking for help in this group!
I would love a little bit more information from you so we can all look into this.
1) Do you have an ID number on FamilySearch for James and/or Mary?
2) What is the location of the marriage?
3) Can you provide a link to the bond information that you are speaking of? In order to find out how the original can be found, we need to look at the source identifiers and such.
This is a great find! Thanks for sharing it! I hope we can all help locate the original.
Thank you!

Thanks for the offer of help I need all I can get
James FSFTID is LJR6-YBG
The location of the marriage is Green County, Kentucky
Green County marriage records, 1793-1836 [Kentucky] Link: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/613577-green-county-marriage-records-1793-1836
page 16.
According to the Forward of the book the C indicates a Marriage bond. The book is composed of records from several sources: Marriage Books A and B, Marriage Bonds (coded as "C"), for the period 1793-1836. The consent papers are particularly valuable for the Genealogist because they identify the parents of the bride and/or groom in many instances.
Again Thanks for the offer to help.

After posting the last information I noticed something so I have been able to find the information. Here is a link to it if you are interested. It contains a permission from her father along with the bond.

Thanks for the help. It always helps to have someone else look over your work and ask questions. Without your questions I would not have been able to see what I needed to find it.

@Roger W. Wells I am so happy you were able to find it! I love the paper giving consent. Just a single piece of paper. Things like that always make me envision the circumstances and whatnot.
You are right, other people asking questions opens the door to so much more in your own mind, doesn't it? I love it when I get that same help from others.
Thank you for sharing what you found!
