Undoing a temple sealing ordinance

My mother Betty Lou Babbitt KWZL-4PQ was sealed to my father Billie Orville Johnson. She had a previous marriage to Donal Bowen. She did not want to be sealed to him for any reason. I had this reserved so no it would not get done but did not keep up with the dates. As a result the work was done. I need to get this removed as my brothers are very mad about it. My oldest brother wanted to be sealed to Betty and Billie as Billie raised him as his own from the time of his birth. Please let me know if this can be done. Thank you.

Hi Anita, just as a general rule, the principle behind vicarious ordinances is that people who have passed through the veil still have agency and can either choose to accept them or reject them. (I wasn't entirely sure if you were a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or not.) If I'm telling you stuff you already know then I apologise.

"FamilySearch has no provision to prevent completion of temple ordinances. Ordinances that are performed for the dead are effective only if the deceased person chooses to accept them and becomes qualified to receive them (see Doctrine and Covenants 138:19, 32–34). (General Handbook: Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, section 28.1)"

Were the people concerned born within the last 110 years?

If you send me your contact information as well as details about the completed ordinances I will escalate your request to an internal team to review. I can't promise that you will get the desired outcome but I'll do my best for you.

    Kind Regards,

    John L. Kennedy.

Anita Evans, Yes I am a member the subject in concern is my mother KWZL-4PQ who was sealed to my father after they passed. The other person was her ex husband Donal Bowen L7N5-D4L and no he is not over the 110 year death date and that was why I thought it was safe by reserving in my name not realizing it had expired and it would revert back to temple. If there is any other info I can give you, please call me
