How likely would immigration be from England during the Revolutionary War?
I am researching a woman named Mary Shuel (LZPQ-F9F) who was born about 1782 in Philadelphia or maybe somewhere else in Pennsylvania. She has now been connected to parents William Shiel (GSC3-9ZF) and Mary Atkinson (M9G9-Q2T) who are recorded as being married in London, England in 1780. If these are her parents that would have to narrow down immigration to British America to 1780-1782 which strikes me as unlikely during wartime.
Other sources for her parents and birth information have not turned up other than censuses from 1850-1870 when she lived with her daughter's family after her husband died. They lived in 3 different states between those years so it's been hard to track down a death certificate, if one would exist. Her daughter died in 1901 in Iowa (no death cert there either).

It would be hard to rule out the parents based solely on the fact that there were less immigrants during the war. However, where are the sources showing these parents came to Philadelphia at all? None were attached in the tree. How was the connection made to Mary?
