Time line for memories
Have an idea for how to make FamilySearch better?
Create a TIME LINE for memories
Currently, the closest FamilySearch comes to a timeline for memories is the option for arranging memories by "custom". If you have taken the time to create memories (photos, stories, documents, audio), the most obvious arrangement would be chronological. FamilySearch does this for sources, but not for memories.
The program "Twile" did this. The stories had to be entered one at a time with dates. The result was a time line of events, photos, stories and documents in date order. In addition, they could be tagged. Doing this would not only add the memory to your timeline, but would also create a subsidiary time line for the tagged person. This subsidiary time line would show all the memories shared with that person.
If FamilySearch undertook to create a similar timeline, memories could be put in chronological order based on the date field in the metadata. In addition, the memories would appear in the timeline of tagged persons.
Please consider this suggestion to include a date option to the options available for memories.

I totally agree! If in Memories the photos, events and documents were in date order you could watch the growth of an individual. Plus, you might consider connecting the photos with the source time line.

I like your idea; however, the idea might need a bit more detail?
Question: Where are you seeing the option to sort Memories as 'custom'? I cannot find that on Memories tab for individual person or in Memories: Gallery? Or are you referring to Time Line> Add> Custom Event?
When opening a photo - I do see the ability to add: Add Event Date, Add Event Place, Add Event Description So from what I see - there already is the option to enter a Date. This apparently takes care of one of the lynchpins of your idea. So all that would be needed would be to integrate Memories with Time Line?
