When someone goes to the temple with their family to be sealed while living do they need to take a completed family group sheet with all the details of the family to have it marked and put in the archives?

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

    A couple of things ...

    [ 1 ] Speak with your Bishop/Branch President

In the first instance, you NEED to speak, to your Bishop/Branch President.

As, you will NEED a "Recommend for Living Ordinances", which is in addition to a NORMAL "Temple Recommend"

[ For, you; and, the Family members involved/taking part ... ]

Your Bishop/Branch President, should be able to provide you, will ALL, the information, that you need.

[ 2 ] Make an "Appointment" for "Living Ordinances" with the "Temple"

Contact the "Temple"; where, the "Living Ordinances", are to be performed.

The Staff, at the "Temple", WILL advise you, EVERYTHING, that you WILL need to take along.

And, of course, make a "Appointment", for the 'Date' and 'Time'.

[ 3 ] Emotionally and Spiritually prepare yourself and the Family members involved/taking part

    [ 4 ] Enjoy the Moment

    Now ...

    That Said ...

    For reading ...

PRIOR to you Visit to the "Temple" ...

In the "Gospel Library" of the Church ...

    [ Either, 'On-Line'; or, "Hard-Copy" ... ]

    Checkout ...

    [ 1 ]

The General Handbook (Serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).

Chapter 27: Temple Ordinances for the Living

    [ 2 ]

Preparing to Enter the Holy Temple

    [ 3 ]

    Temple Endowment

I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

    Good Luck.

    Enjoy.

If you are being sealed to living people, all you need is your temple recommend and a living ordinance recommend. The ordinances are then recorded on your Church Membership record. Later after your death, these ordinances will show up in the FamilySearch Family Tree.

This is for a family with 2 children. Do they need to bring a family group sheet with the children listed along with themselves as parents when they do the family sealing together?
