Which line goes with which line?

I've seen this before and am not always sure how to determine who the blank line goes with. Thomas M Ellis. Do I use the informatin from the line above him or the line below him? Sometimes they are marked with parentheses indicating who they are matched with. This time I see nothing to tell me. What is the rule for this?

Thanks, Vickie

We see that Thomas M Ellis has an & (ampersand) next to his name and it looks like this entry goes in with the next entry of Edna A Ellis and the grantor which is Bernard H. Chermin. I would use this grantor (Bernard H. Chermin) for both Thomas M Ellis and Edna A. Ellis in separate entries.

We see in the Project instructions under What to Remember About this project, bullet point 8 it reads: If multiple grantees or grantors were listed for a single transaction, index information about each one using separate entries in the data entry area.

I hope this answered your question.

    Hi Vickie,

Since this one has Thomas M Ellis + Edna A Ellis, the Grantor for both will be Bernard H Chernin for each of their records. (It is the line below because of the ampersand, "and" or + sign.)

Answered very well, thanks. I didn't pickup on the ampersand. And I do list each one separately, but sometimes it is confusing as to which way to go. Guess I need to watch for the smallaer details. Thanks for the quick responses.
