FamilySearch's Freedmen's Bureau website is broken

Hi! I’m giving a library presentation on African American genealogy next week, and I was going to include FamilySearch’s affiliated Freedmen’s Bureau website (http://www.discoverfreedmen.org/), but I discovered it was mostly outdated/non-functional. If you try running a search of Bureau records from the homepage, it leads to a FamilySearch error page. The embedded video is missing. If you click the “volunteer now” button, you get another FamilySearch error page.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

@PhilipBloom - Would you please post the URLs from the error pages?

@PiperTWilson, sure! When I plug Jeremiah Smith (for instance) into the "search for an ancestor" fields on the main page of discoverfreedmen.org, I get this error page. Back on the DF homepage, If you scroll down, you'll see an embedded video that is marked private. If you scroll further down and click the "volunteer now" button, you get this error page.

    Thank you for your reply!
