Minas Gerais, Brazil - raw and specific town records on microfilm or not?
Hi, while indexing of records from Minas Gerais in Brazil is appreciated, I was wondering whether the "raw" records from the Patos de Minas, MG , Lagoa Grande, MG, areas are available somewhere? The records indicate that nothing has been indexed or filed yet.
I would be able to specify the specific church name that I need from a certain town in Minas and I wonder whether they are on your microfilms already? If they are, then maybe I could have a look at the film somewhere (as they have not been indexed yet) ?

Checking the image catalog, there are a number of church record books for Patos available:

And searching the catalog by keyword also shows several registers for Patos de Minas. These 3 catalog entries are available to view from home but are not yet searchable by name:

Oh, that is nice. Not quite de church I was looking but still, nice. The particular town I want is in that general area, called "Presidente Olégario, MG" (called "Santa Rita (de Boa Sorte)" in earlier days), but no luck locating any church records via that catalog. We keep looking and please let us know if you have other ideas or pointers. Thanks!

Now that I had time to read these raw microfilms, I just wanted to say that these are great ! At the same time, I see one of those, "Batismos 1875, Jul-1882, Out" has been processed by volunteers already into indexed records, very cool.
Now I have questions on the generated records, surnames, city names, the timing to index more microfilms of Patos de Minas, and more. What is a good place to ask those questions please?
