Sealings for deceased and divorced couples

If we find husband and wife back far enough for work to be done, and they were divorced, should we go ahead and seal them? What about children from the divorced relationship? Do you seal children to one or the other or both?

    @Steven A Jones

    An article in the help center titled, "Can a Divorced Couple Be Sealed?" has a helpful answer to your question.

    It says, "Deceased couples who were divorced may be sealed. This may provide the only way for their children to be sealed. However, if they were sealed in life and the sealing was canceled, First Presidency approval is required for them to be sealed again."

    Hello @Steven A Jones

    Thank you for posting your question here in the community.

    Deceased couples who were divorced may be sealed. This may provide the only way for their children to be sealed. However, if they were sealed in life and the sealing was canceled, First Presidency approval is required for them to be sealed again.

    We hope that this information will prove helpful to you and wish you continued success in your family history efforts.
